Hey friends! So in catching up on my blog, I have to talk about our dining experience at Molly Woo’s. First off let me just say that Molly Woo’s is the best commercial Chinese restaurant I’ve eaten at. It’s commercial in the sense that it’s more gourmet than home cooked. You know the mom and pop shops are going to give you grease and salty deliciousness (you know authentic) ๐Ÿ˜… but gourmet is a more healthier option. With that being said, let’s get into it.

It was a cold night for dinner that day. So I needed something warm. This tea was magnificent and served the traditional Chinese way. #nowthatsauthentic The flavors are Ginger and Peach. There was plenty to share with the whole table. On a side note, I once read that Asian people drink hot tea with meals because it the grease in food from hardening in the body. The analogy used is the difference between hot grease going down the drain with hot water poured down behind it versus cold water. With cold water the grease will clog the pipes. Much like grease clogging people’s arteries. Hmmm ๐Ÿค”

This is my food. Just some simple House fried Rice. But the taste wasn’t simple. It was exquisite ๐Ÿ˜‹

Dana ordered this. I believe it’s Sweet and Sour ๐Ÿค I need to do same day blogging. Smh However, I do remember that she enjoyed it. Lol

These are the deserts. Creme Brulee and Sherbet. They are lavishly delicious ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿด Now the Sherbet with the fresh berries really delighted my palette. Oh so good!!!

Well that’s all folk. See ya real soon friends!

Okay friends, I’m like super behind in my blog. Like months behind. Lol But it’s okay, I’m back now! So, to catch up let me start with a very nice restaurant called Copious. It’s located in downtown Columbus, OH.  In the dictionary Copious means lavish or abundant. I can truly say the place is lavish and their dining options are abundant. You can eat in the dining room or at the bar on the main level, host an event in the upstairs waiting room and hang out in the lounge on the lower level.  There is something here for everyone and the food is delish.

This was my selection. Braised beef with Asparagus and Macaroni and cheese.  The beef was so tender and good ๐Ÿค—.

This is Dana’s pick. Somer ordered the same thing. Jumbo ๐Ÿค in some type of sauce (lol) with Green beans and Mashed potatoes. I sampled it and those shrimp were all that!

Lastly, this is Miranda’s pick. Fried chicken, Sweet potatoes and Collard greens. Very good! Now you cant eat everybody’s greens ๐Ÿ˜‚ But they truly were good.

Well friends eat and be full!.jk I’ll see ya soon!

Neighborhood gem

Today we dined at Katalina’s Cafe. It’s a nice little restaurant tucked away in a neighborhood near the Ohio State University. Because of the small size of the restaurant Somer quickly learned that the golden rule of move your feet lose your seat applied. Now there’s no wait staff to take your order, but they bring your food out to you after you order inside. ๐Ÿ˜œ All in all Katalina’s is a great place for brunch.

The ๐ŸŒฎ are really good. Your choice is ๐ŸŒฎ or breakfast. Lol

Here’s mine! I almost forgot to take a picture. 1 taco has already been eaten and half of my Watermelon Mint Lemonade was drank. But yall get the idea.

Who doesn’t love tagging something ๐Ÿค– Can you find my name and Somer’s? The inside menu is written in chalk and you get to write in chalk at your table.

Alright friends,  I’ll see ya soon!

Bison Anyone?

So my 1st restaurant blog is about Ted’s Montana Grill. It was cozy and delicious! Comfort food at its finest. We made reservations and were seated on time. The staff was friendly and courteous. Between the food and checkered decor I thought I was in Montana. I’ve never wanted to travel there before, but now I’m kinda curious ๐Ÿค”

So they start you off with these half cucumbers half pickles. They are different. That’s all I’ll say about it. Lol

Next we sampled Bison meat. It is delish. Imagine your leanest beef that is super tender and you’ve got Bison ๐Ÿ‚

My pick. Just a plain Ole American Bison Burger with Cheese. And the 50/50 which is half French fries and half Onion rings. I couldn’t finish.

Both Dana and Somer ordered the Cadillac Burger with 50/50. Somer added Mustard and Mayor. They give it ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Lastly, Somer ordered this Strawberry Shortcake ๐Ÿ“Dana and I were more than happy to help her eat it. ๐Ÿ˜‹ this is a Netflix movie night with sweatpants and camisole dish. Just eat comfortably and slouchy. Lol  Alright yall until next time. See ya soon!

Allow me to introduce myself…

Hey friends, I’m Hendretta and I’m going to blog about food. I love cooking and fine dining. Each month my curl friends and I pick a new restaurant to try for girls night out. It’s so much fun trying new foods and wines. Since I’m a baker and stove top shaker (lol) I’m kind of a food snob ๐Ÿค“No worries. I will share the food opinions of my other friends as well. So hopefully everyone will find my blogs fun and insightful. I also will post recipes that maybe similar to something we ate at a restaurant. Well friends I hope you’re ready to embark upon this new journey with me. See ya soon!
